Emission Savings Tracker

The Emission Savings Tracker is Jupital Pro’s sustainability monitoring tool designed to help riders and organizations measure their positive environmental impact. By tracking the reduction in carbon emissions achieved through the use of Jupital Pro electric vehicles, users can visualize their contribution to cleaner cities and a healthier planet.

2. Purpose

  • To calculate and record the carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions saved by switching from fuel-powered to electric mobility.
  • To provide users with transparent data on their eco-performance.
  • To support global efforts in carbon neutrality and climate-conscious commuting.

3. How It Works
The Emission Savings Tracker uses data from:

  • Distance traveled (km or miles) via Jupital Pro vehicles.
  • Average CO₂ emissions from equivalent petrol vehicles.
  • Electric energy consumption during charging (for accurate net savings).

The system then calculates: CO₂ Saved=(Distance Traveled×Average Fuel Vehicle Emission Rate)−(Energy Used×Electric Grid Emission Rate)\text{CO₂ Saved} = (\text{Distance Traveled} × \text{Average Fuel Vehicle Emission Rate}) – (\text{Energy Used} × \text{Electric Grid Emission Rate})CO₂ Saved=(Distance Traveled×Average Fuel Vehicle Emission Rate)−(Energy Used×Electric Grid Emission Rate)

Example:

  • 1 km on a petrol scooter = 72 g of CO₂ emitted
  • 1 km on Jupital Pro electric scooter = 10 g CO₂ (grid electricity)
  • Emission saving per km: 62 g CO₂

So, for 1,000 km of riding:
62 kg of CO₂ saved

4. Key Metrics Displayed

  • Total Distance Traveled (km)
  • CO₂ Emissions Avoided (kg or tons)
  • Equivalent Trees Planted (based on 21 kg CO₂ absorbed per tree/year)
  • Fuel Saved (liters of petrol not used)
  • Energy Used (kWh consumed for charging)
  • Total Cost Savings (based on average fuel prices vs electricity rates)

5. User Dashboard Features

  • Live Tracker: Real-time CO₂ savings as you ride.
  • Monthly Summary: Compare your emission savings month-to-month.
  • Lifetime Statistics: Cumulative data of total distance, CO₂ saved, and cost benefits.
  • Shareable Achievements: Generate eco-certificates or badges to share sustainability milestones on social media.
  • Fleet Integration: For businesses, aggregate emission data across multiple vehicles to assess fleet-wide carbon savings.

6. Environmental Equivalents
To make data relatable, the tracker converts emission savings into recognizable equivalents such as:

Impact TypeEquivalent Example
1,000 kg CO₂ savedEqual to planting ~48 trees
500 kg CO₂ savedEqual to 2,000 km of car travel avoided
100 kg CO₂ savedEqual to 40 liters of petrol not burned
50 kg CO₂ savedEqual to offsetting one domestic flight passenger’s footprint
